Frequently asked questions

Short answers about page views, limits, integrations, what Hubbo does not do and how to get help.

Installation

How do I install Hubbo?

Paste one script tag, with your account key, into your site. Guides cover HTML, Next.js, React, Vue, Nuxt, Svelte and Angular. See the Quick start.

Is there an npm package, a GTM template or a JavaScript SDK?

No official npm package and no GTM template. You install with the script tag (including Angular’s index.html or a one-time AppComponent loader). There is no Hubbo.init() and no full widget SDK. The optional page API is window.hubbo.identify() / reset() / getVisitor() for auth targeting and setLang() / getLang() for translations — see Identify visitors and Set visitor language.

How do I show widgets only to logged-in visitors?

After your own login, call window.hubbo.identify({ id }). In Targeting, set Visitor auth to Logged in (or Logged out for anonymous-only). Details: Identify visitors.

How do I force the widget language from my app?

Call window.hubbo.setLang('pl') (or any BCP-47 tag). That locale is used exclusively until cleared with setLang(null) (then browser / identify traits apply). Details: Set visitor language.

What does Seen notifications mean?

It gates a notification, NPS or survey on whether the visitor already opened the notification widget (bell list) for selected notification ids. Seen state stays in that browser only. Leave both pickers empty to ignore it.

Where did Settings → Appearance go?

Appearance is configured per product: Notifications → Appearance, Surveys → Appearance, Road Map → Appearance, and NPS → Settings → Appearance. Items can inherit those defaults or use a custom look. See Appearance and branding.

What is AI NPS analysis?

A one-click report under NPS → AI analyses (Standard and Premium). Hubbo reads a filtered sample of responses — prioritizing low scores — and returns a summary, likely causes, concrete fixes and signal chips (page, device, country, connection and more). Treat it as guidance and check the underlying responses. See AI-powered NPS analysis.

Can I show notifications, NPS or surveys in other languages?

Yes — and AI Translation does most of the work. Set a main language, add a locale, click Generate Translation, and Hubbo fills empty fields from your main copy. On the embed, hubbo.setLang() pins the locale when set; otherwise the browser language, then identify traits. Empty fields fall back to the main language. See Translations and languages and Set visitor language.

What is AI Translation?

A one-click action on every Translations panel. It translates empty fields from your main language into the selected locale across notifications, NPS, surveys, roadmap and status. It never overwrites text you already typed. Review the draft, edit if needed, then Save.

What are saved audiences?

Reusable targeting snapshots (devices, timing, throttling, visitor auth, seen notifications, URL rules) under Settings → Audiences. Load them into notification, NPS or survey Targeting forms. See Saved audiences.

Where do I see Analytics?

Open Analytics in the admin sidebar. You get a product funnel (Shown, clicks/completions, dismissals, rates) plus status and roadmap session views. Details: Analytics overview.

The widget does not show up. What should I check?

Follow the troubleshooting checklist: script loaded, key correct, origin matches, content published and enabled, and the page-view allowance not exhausted. If Targeting uses Logged in, confirm your site called hubbo.identify() after sign-in.

Usage and plans

What is a page view?

One unique browser session on your site, tracked with a cookie. See Page views explained.

Does the Hubbo marketing site count toward page views?

Visits to hubbo.io and www.hubbo.io are counted like any real site. Previews in the admin app are not.

What happens when I exceed my plan?

When your page-view allowance is used up, widgets stop showing until you upgrade or your allowance resets. NPS votes beyond the monthly limit are not saved. Your content is never deleted.

How much does Hubbo cost?

Free is $0, Standard is $29 per month and Premium is $59 per month. Yearly billing gives 2 months free. See Plans and limits.

What Hubbo does not do

Can visitors vote on the roadmap?

No. The roadmap is a public, read-only board.

Can Hubbo send push or email notifications to my users?

No. Notifications are displayed in the widget and on the notification page. Push and email are not delivered. Status page subscribers do receive email updates about incidents.

Is there a REST API?

No public REST API. The widget talks to a GraphQL API, see the Developer docs.

Can Hubbo monitor my uptime?

Partly. Uptime on the status page comes from recorded incidents. You can add optional HTTP Health monitors that open and resolve incidents automatically, but they only probe public URLs (not localhost or private addresses). Hubbo is not a full monitoring suite.

Is there a bug reporting feature?

It is coming soon. The Bug Report area in the app is a placeholder for now.

Privacy and company

Who is behind Hubbo?

Hubbo is operated by Codemilk, based in Poland.

Do I need a cookie banner?

That depends on your location and policy. Hubbo sets httpOnly cookies on api.hubbo.io (hubbo_api_key and hubbo_pv_*). Read GDPR and privacy and ask your legal advisor.

How do I get help?

Email support@hubbo.io. Include your account key, the URL where the problem happens and what you see.
